But if you learn how to defend yourself using Krav Maga Oklahoma, you will be prepared if you do ever find yourself the victim of an attack, which could truly save your life.

Krav Maga is actually Hebrew, meaning 'contact combat' because that is essentially what it is at its core. It is a set of very practical self-defense moves that are meant to help you fend off aggressive attacks so that you can down your attacker and run for safety. The moves are simple and aggressive to help you survive threats and attacks.

All you need is the desire to learn some basic moves and learn how to put them together in combat situations. Anyone can understand it, especially since your instructors break each move down for you so that you can use it in real life situations, should they arise.

There is a good chance that your instructor will at some point focus on the mindset you need for Krav Maga. Statistics have proven that the nerves and fear associated with being attacked make you around 50 percent less likely to remember the moves you learned. But if you get into the right mindset, you will recall things easier.

There are many local studios and gyms that can get you started on your path to learning and eventually mastering Krav Maga. They usually have classes with other people, some large and some small. However, if you would prefer a private class, many instructors are willing to have a one-on-one session for an extra fee. The amount of classes per week depends upon your schedule. Many are once or twice a week, possibly more.

Some gyms will offer you a free trial class to start. This means they waive the usual fee so you can try a class without any pressure and make sure it is right for you. If you decide you do like the class, you can then sign up for additional classes and be on your way to protecting yourself from potential harm.
