Hunting is one of the activities that people enjoy a lot. On most public lands, access by vehicles ends when one reaches parking areas and trailheads. Beyond trailheads and parking areas, one may need to walk the rest of the distance to their prime hunting area. Other options for transportation include bicycle and horses. Different areas are governed by different rules and regulations and it is best to understand them before venturing out.

When going for a hunt, it is important to bring all the necessary gear. This may include climbing sticks, haul stands, hunting tools, and knives. Water and food should also not be forgotten in case one plans to stay away the whole day.
