It can't be denied that fanatics and gamers say fine words and overflowing words of flattery when Roger Federer is the subject. He truly deserve such praise with the number of times he won trophies, awards and accolades in Tennis through the years. To date, he is ranked as world's no. 3 by the Association of Tennis Professionals or ATP. Moreover, Federer is consistently ranked as the best 3 over the past 10 years succeeding Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. It is no wonder that other professional players and tennis sport officers see him as one of the best tennis players the globe has seen.

Roger Federer was given birth on August 8, 1981 where his mother is African and a Swiss father. He is both a citizen of Switzerland and South Africa. In his childhood years, he has already been recognized to have a great capability in the field of sports and actually played different sports activities aside from tennis, including basketball, badminton, football and cricket. He even talked about that without the sports he's been actively playing, his abilities, speed and hand to eye coordination won't be better which is beneficial in his tennis career.

Roger Federer made it clear in his junior times that he is a tough player to beat. In spite of his loss in the 1998 US Open, he triumphed in the Wimbledon Cup under the singles and doubles tournament division. Also, throughout his junior years in 1998, he had won numerous competitions which made him on top. Within the same year, he commenced his professional career.

Federer's stepping stone was when he won the Wimbledon singles against Mark Philippoussis in 2003. Out of the nine finals in the ATP tour he won 7 of it and, it was also in the final quarter of 2003 that his triumph against Andre Agassi made his career even brighter. This winning streak brought him to the number 2 place. The next years continued to make his name prominent in the world of tennis where he singlehandedly overcome numerous world tournaments such as the French Open, Australian Open, US Open as well as Wimbledon. Some of his achievements are: ITF World Champion in Men's Singles from 2004 to 2007; ESPY's Best Male Tennis Player right from 2005 to 2010; ATP's Player of the Year from 2004 to 2007 and again in 2009; and, ATP Fan's Favorite Player from 2003 to 2012, and the like. Roger Federer was at the globe's top spot many times that he now holds the record of being in that spot for the longest time, defeating Pete Sampras' record.

Tennis critics and analysts all agree with the fact that Federer's best shot is his forehand shot, which precisely and forcefully smashes a ball for that winning point.
